Kunst mit Hund - Rund um die Kitschburg

In the organizer's words:

We meet at the Kitschburg servants' quarters and explore the history of the place where the Leonardo Hotel am Stadtwald stands today. We will walk past the park created by Maximilian Friedrich Weyhe to the Kahnweiher pond and retrace the landscape gardening prospect from selected vantage points. We follow the poplars, which still mark the boundary of the Kitschburgerhof today, to the property boundary on Fürst-Pückler-Straße. Here we look at some Wilhelminian style houses and take a look at the bunkers that were built on the grounds of the Kitschburg. We then follow part of the circular route, pass the former riding facility and the so-called soup plate and come to the Schleyer memorial. Passing the 13 Linden viewpoint, we walk along the edge of the slope of a former branch of the Rhine over the tracks of the Klüttebahn railroad back to the Marcel Proust Allee circular route. Our cultural-historical tour ends at Kitschburger Straße at the level of the Tierpark/Kitschburger Straße.
