Exhibition opening of Achim Goetze's World Theater

The Hamburg veteran

is finally exhibiting again.

We are delighted to have the opportunity to present this special painter to Fuhlsbuettel and invite you to a discussion in the presence of the artist.

About the person:

ACHIM GOETZE | MALEREI Achim Goetze received his artistic training in his native city of Hamburg and in Kiel. Through temporary cultural reportage work, he met creative and fascinating people such as Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Graham and Willy Brandt, and developed a project with Felix von Eckardt, the then head of the German press. All of this awakened an interest in social and political areas of tension and sharpened his eye for accentuated perception and realization. These themes would later play a decisive role in his artistic work. This was followed by stays abroad in North Africa and Mexico, where he studied Orozco's frescoes in particular. The criticism of social imbalance and the "great form" of representation increasingly occupied the painter. Back in Hamburg, he created his first larger paintings in the 1970s. Since 1980, he has worked on several cycles of paintings with religious, social and political themes - including landscapes. His paintings are represented at various exhibitions and are the subject of lively discussion at dialog events. They are in both public and private ownership.
