Kunst&Kontakte: Holding eachother up – Practices of Care
PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:
Come spend the afternoon with us in the park.
Holding Each Other Up – Practices of Care is an invitation to slow down together for a few hours: to sit in the grass, breathe, listen, meet new people, share food, exchange experiences, and spend time with one another without the pressure to perform, explain, or produce.
Together with artist, filmmaker, and activist Susana Ojeda, we want to create a temporary space for conversation, music, curiosity, laughter, rest, and collective presence. A space where we can arrive just as we are—joyful, tired, overwhelmed, hopeful, uncertain—and remember that we don’t have to carry everything alone.
Somewhere between a picnic, an artistic gathering, and a shared pause, we ask:
What helps us carry on in uncertain times?
How do friendships, humor, art, music, and small everyday gestures help us stay connected to ourselves and to one another?
How can we support one another as we navigate political pressure, exhaustion, and uncertainty?
Rather than formal discussions or polished answers, the picnic creates space for spontaneous encounters, collective reflection, and moments of joy, vulnerability, and connection.
Because care can also look like this:
sharing snacks in the sun, laughing loudly, listening carefully, lying in the grass, meeting someone new, dancing together, or simply taking a deep breath alongside others.
Hosts and co-creators: Zoe Gudović, Gudrun Schmidinger (Kultursommer Plus), and Susana Ojeda.
