Supporting Program Emerging Artists V
Workshop
SUPERRAUM | Brückstraße 64
Speaker: Alexa Jünkering | Consulting for founders and self-employed people
For self-employed creative professionals (artists and publicists), the Künstlersozialkasse (KSK) is an important pillar of personal social security. It integrates artists into the system of statutory health, nursing care and pension insurance. The main topics are which requirements must be met in order to be insured through the KSK and what is meant by the KSK levy obligation for users of artistic services. The participants will be informed about the basics of the artists' social insurance and learn to understand the logic of the administrative procedures "determination of the insurance obligation", "examination of the insurance obligation" and "determination of the obligation to pay contributions". Furthermore, this seminar will address individual social security regulations that (may) make self-employed creative professionals members and contributors to the statutory accident and unemployment insurance. Possibilities of precaution to avoid loss of income due to illness, occupational disability and old age will be pointed out. Sufficient time is planned for individual questions of the participants*innen.
