Art between arbors and perennials

Launched in 2009 by the Buschmühle garden association, the KunstRasen triennial is a very special exhibition format: every three years, renowned (including Sabine Held, Silvia Liebig, Hendrik Müller, Claudia Terlunen) and lesser-known Dortmund artists present current works, often specially developed for the local conditions, on almost all 22 plots of the allotment garden site.

The open-air exhibition brings together all branches of the visual arts (including sculpture, painting, installation, photography, action, performance), which sometimes take the natural space seriously, sometimes playfully, allowing it to be experienced in a new way and opening up new perspectives.

The relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to talk to the artists, who are always present, offers visitors young and old direct and low-threshold access to contemporary art. Free & outside.
