Kunstverein Wagenhalle - creative space and field of experimentation
On Saturday, May 11, Sylvia Winkler and Sara Dahme invite you to a tour of the Wagenhallen - we will talk about the development and growth of this place, the changes that have already taken place and take a look into the future: What kind of place should be preserved here and who is it for?
We meet under Pablo Wendel's large studio tower.
The Kunstverein Wagenhalle is a place of art production, presentation and a field of urban experimentation. Since 2004, around 150 cultural producers from all artistic disciplines have created a unique creative space here with their studios and workshops. This lively place for innovative culture is located in the middle of construction site C1 - the future Maker City of the Rosensteinquartier. From the very beginning, the Kunstverein has dealt with questions of urban development and has become a source of inspiration for questions about the city of tomorrow and the significance of spaces where artistic impulses and social challenges form joint visions of the future.
