In the organizer's words:

Japanese binding is characterized by a decorative stitch pattern on the spine and covers. It is sewn around the cover, not only around the spine, but also at the top and bottom. To complete the pattern, you have to sew through the same hole several times. Start sewing in the middle so that the knot is not visible at the end. The paper is folded in the middle and placed on top of each other. The book cover can be made of cardboard or thick paper and you can decorate the cover.

About the series of events

The art workshop offers passionate book fans the opportunity to get to grips with topics relating to book production. A wide variety of printing techniques, bookbinding, the production of colored paper and a wide range of folding work made from paper are presented. The offer is aimed at adults interested in art and families with older children.
