KUOKO is a producer, singer and DJ from Hamburg. Her new EP Music Is Medicine (colorburst records) oscillates between electronic pop and atmospheric techno and spans an arc between euphoria and melancholy - opposites that do not collide here, but complement each other.

Josi Miller gained her first experience as a DJ in the East German subculture. Parallel to her studies at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, she played bigger and bigger stages throughout Germany over the years - her sets were already pushing genre boundaries back then. She accompanied Trettmann for years as a tour DJ, while also touring as a solo artist. Her debut album 4 Stages Of Sleep was released by Grönland Records in October 2025

KUOKO

KUOKO deliberately avoids narrow genre boundaries: Influences from ambient, house and club-like sounds are audible, while a tempo that is faster than in previous releases runs like a common thread through the tracks. The songs and visuals were created independently and feel like her open diary - personal, fragmentary, with an unmistakable signature.

Josi Miller

In the fall of 2023, Josi decides to tackle a solo album during a creative camp in Limoux, France. The first fragments of the large-scale project are created in the company of trusted musicians such as Fatoni, Aywing, Lambert, Torky Tork and Beach People. In 2024, Josi moves to post-punk icon Gudrun Gut in the Uckermark for several weeks as part of a support program - this is where her plans take shape. At the end of an intensive examination of her own psyche and countless hours between synthesizers and beat software, "4 Stages Of Sleep" is released - a debut album that fuses breakbeat, pop and electronica.
