In this guided tour, Clara Meister, co-curator of the exhibition Circles of Light, gives an insight into Nancy Holt's artistic practice.

Over five decades, Nancy Holt has explored how we perceive our environment and how we try to understand our place on this planet. She has continually explored boundaries to redefine what art can be and where it can be found. Holt's artistic practice, her texts and ideas form the ground on which many currents in contemporary art have grown. Clara Meister delves deeper into Circles of Light, the artist's most comprehensive survey exhibition in Germany to date, encompassing film, video, photography, sound works, concrete poetry, sculptures and expansive installations, as well as drawings and documentation spanning over 25 years.

Clara Meister is deeply involved with language and music and wrote her dissertation on the human voice. She is co-founder of the exhibition collective SOUNDFAIR, was curator of the MINI/Goethe-Institut Curatorial Residency Ludlow 38 in New York and curated the performance program of the Marrakech Biennale MB5. She is co-founder of the online magazine ment. Meister was a curatorial consultant at the Gropius Bau, where she works as a curator and project manager of the Artificial Intelligence program and is involved in the development of an app for barrier-free translation.
