Kurt Kuhfeld sings the praises of love with chansons from the 1920s/30s and selected pop and musical theater gems. Together with pianist Kenneth Berkel, he celebrates the splendor and vulnerability of the greatest of all themes; of falling in love for the first time, of jealousy and loneliness, of great disappointments and of course: the hope of a happy ending.
Poetic, silly, ecstatic, intimate and just a little bit cheesy.
With music by Friedrich Hollaender, Mischa Spoliansky, Kurt Weill, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Michel Legrand and others.
