Kurt Weill, one of the most important composers of our time - whose music was also popular - a synthesis that hardly exists a second time.
Lotte Lenya, an actress and singer who intuitively and unmistakably embodied his music and carried it into the world. They "recognized" each other and, despite their great differences, remained together for "two" lifetimes.
