In this classic musical about tolerance from the colorful everyday life of a queer nightclub, the love of a young couple rocks the world: The awkward moment when parents and in-laws are introduced to each other holds plenty of pitfalls - everyone is under pressure to present themselves in the best possible light to future family members!

It becomes even more explosive when the groom's parents are two men and therefore do not fit the classic image of a family. If they also run a travesty club where one of them is celebrated every evening as drag queen Zaza. And even more so when the bride's father is an extremely conservative, homophobic politician who vehemently advocates the closure of "such establishments". But the encounter is even more explosive: not only is the young couple's happiness hanging by a thread, but also the continued existence of the enchanting club, where everyone can live and be as they please.

With a dazzling show, music, dance and humor, La Cage aux Folles tells of tolerance and the play of identities. It deals with the question of where this tolerance ends and when self-denial begins.
