Catrina is THE figure that stands for the Mexican Festival of the Dead and that every child in Mexico knows: an elegant lady with a sweeping hat and feather boa as a skeleton, created by the Mexican lithographer José Guadalupe Posada.
Catrina appears, walks around the room, takes a closer look at one or the other, visits the ofrenda and asks chosen ones to dance. She is accompanied on her way by live music.
The event is part of the Mexican Festival of the Dead at the Humboldt Forum in Berlin.
