Many have failed to pull off the perfect crime. But the obscure "string quartet" is convinced that they have the ultimate coup in the bag. Under a harmless pretext, they take up residence with the amiable Mrs. Wilberforce - a seemingly quiet house full of tea, music - and a good view of the station.

But the longer their stay lasts, the louder the carefully oiled plan begins to grate. Small coincidences, big egos and an unpredictable fate drive the game in a chaotic direction that none of them had suspected.

And Mrs. Wilberforce? There may be more to her smile than meets the eye...
