Lajos Meinberg Trio

In the organizer's words:

LAJOS MEINBERG TRIO

Lajos Meinberg - piano
Morten Larsen - bass
Ugo Alunni - drums

The Lajos Meinberg Trio is an up-and-coming formation from the young jazz scene in Berlin. It
stands for modern creative music, whereby "modern" is always defined as fresh and curious, never as a ban on tradition. They seek their own musical expression in their own compositions as well as in the interpretation of other diverse music.

All three musicians are current or former students of the renowned Jazz Institute Berlin
and have become an integral part of the Berlin jazz scene. The trio plays concerts throughout Germany in
jazz clubs and festivals across the country.

Lajos grew up in a family of musicians and developed a love of jazz at an early age. He has been studying at the Jazz Institute Berlin with Wolfgang Köhler, Tino Dorado and Bastian Stein since 2020 and has been active in the Berlin jazz scene ever since.

and had the opportunity to learn from musicians such as Anat Cohen, Donny McCaslin and Sullivan Fortner.

age of 11 and has since been able to learn from renowned musicians such as Morten Christian Haxholm in Kolding, Thomas Fryland in Copenhagen and Greg Cohen in Berlin.
