Lalalar come from the pulsating underground of Istanbul and combine street energy with club culture to create a unique sound universe. Their music is like a soundtrack for the border between yesterday and tomorrow: hypnotic bass lines, dirty electronic beats and distorted vocals meet sharply played guitar riffs that oscillate somewhere between punk, techno and Anatolian psychedelia.
Live, Lalalar's sound unfolds like a ritualized dialogue between crowd and band: dense, agile and with a constant pulse that never stands still. Their sets are cathartic, not a celebration of mere nostalgia, but rather loud, dark, life-hungry soundscapes that combine club territories with avant-garde sensibilities.
