Lalalaranja mit Mitleko und Arvind Ganga im Konzert

In the organizer's words:

Lalalaranja are Dina Maccabee (US/DE) and Tomás Tello (PE/PT), who combine all kinds of found sounds with lo-fi electronics, radios, computers, all kinds of small instruments, viola and guitar. Both are masters of their instruments, but in their sound adventures every noise is welcome and can play its part. A croaking frog, a coughing neighbor, radio interference, random samples, a little bell, a traditional Andean guitar. A friendly universe in which everything is possible, nothing is out of place and you wish you could just stay forever.

Mitleko

Founded in Mexico and based in Berlin, Mitleko consists of Miriam Leo(MX/DE) on keyboards and Tom Kessler(MX/DE) on guitar. Both augment their instruments with self-built electronics that allow them to slice, sample, deconstruct and recombine their music with a simple, intuitive, physical interface. Improvisations with influences of free jazz, noise, breakcore, chunchaca and more. A confusing and fascinating ride.

Arvind Ganga

Guitarist from The Hague in the Netherlands. He is fascinated by the physicality of the guitar and the wide range of sounds it produces when its parts are played with objects, magnetic fields or his bare hands using inappropriate techniques. His music is raw and direct, whether abrasive or delicate, and constantly crosses the boundary between music and sound, creating an intense experience that is at once abstract, psychedelic, noisy and somehow spiritual.
