Concerts in the museum garden

On our stage in the picturesque garden of the Landesmuseum Hinter Aegidien, between monastery walls, stone statues and a shady chestnut tree, a varied concert program awaits you during the summer months.

Concert tickets can be purchased during opening hours (Tue-Sun from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) at the box office of the Landesmuseum Hinter Aegidien or via the booking service(buchung.blm@3landesmuseen.de, telephone: 0531 1225-2424). The Box Office opens 30 minutes before the start of the event.

Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 7 p.m.: Andreas Jäger and Till Seifert: Happy Birthday, Basic Law!

Actor Andreas Jäger and guitarist Till Seifert entertain their audience with compositions and texts about the Basic Law, peppered with a pinch of humor and a certain thoughtfulness. The evening is a musical homage with guitar sounds and singing to mark the 75th anniversary of the Basic Law. The event takes place in cooperation with the Prüsse Foundation.

Thursday, June 13, 2024, 7 pm: Julian Dawson

With his inescapable aura and versatile musical style, British singer-songwriter Julian Dawson inspires his listeners. Whether jazz, country, soul or rock - the musician knows how to captivate his audience with his intense and soulful stage presence. His voice and style are strong in character and unmistakable.

Thursday, July 04, 2024, 7 pm: Lea Morris Trio

Lea Morris, Eddie Fillip and Lars Slowak together form the "Lea Morris Trio". Their soul-folk style music is enriched with influences from country, blues and jazz. Well-known songs are reinterpreted in an individual way and form the expressive focus of the three musicians. Their performance convinces with temperament and joy as well as a dynamic guitar accompaniment.

Thursday, July 11, 2024, 7 pm: Lo Brandis & Friends

Commercial music, numerous awards, songwriter and live musician - Lothar Brandes' biography is characterized by music. The compositions on his second piano album "Find My Way Home" tell the story of his life to date in an emotional way and also allude to well-known images and films. On stage, together with bassist Frank Itt and percussionist Wolfram Bäse-Jöbkes, he invites you to immerse yourself in sonic imagery.

Thursday, August 22, 2024, 7 pm: The Twang

A touch of the American Midwest wafts through the garden of Hinter Aegidien when "The Twang" bring their "country-infused" interpretations of famous songs to the stage. The band, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, is characterized by its rousing shows and unmistakable sound. With their Americana versions of pop and rock hits, the five musicians from Braunschweig manage the balancing act of also appealing to those who are otherwise less enthusiastic about the classic country style.

Sunday, August 25, 2024, 2 & 4 pm: Hemi Levison (as part of the Jewish Summer Festival):

On the occasion of the Jewish Summer Festival, Israeli-born baritone Hemi Levison, who began his music career in Jerusalem at the age of 16, will be a guest in Braunschweig. To this day, the singer regularly performs at various music festivals in his home country. He enchants his audience with songs that he sings in his mother tongue, Hebrew.
