LAST CHANCE - LANDERER&COMPANY

In the organizer's words:

In his latest choreography, LAST CHANCE, Felix Landerer returns to the Eisfabrik to unfold a profound reflection on art and dance creation.

The piece takes a critical look at the constant companions of every artistic process: the potential for failure and the pressing need to achieve success. Felix Landerer poses questions that are both provocative and introspective: What does it mean to create something of value? And in whose eyes is this work to be seen as a success?

LAST CHANCE not only provides a stage for aesthetic beauty, but also invites the audience to rethink the standards by which art is judged. Through the use of his long-established ensemble, Landerer challenges the audience to embrace the idea of failure as a valuable learning experience, rather than avoiding it.

The choreographer also draws inspiration for LAST CHANCE from Aldous Huxley's novel "Island", which states: "It's dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you're feeling deeply."
