French singer-songwriter Laura Cahen combines acoustic and electronic sounds in her music to create soulful, self-reflective soundscapes - always carried by her crystal-clear voice. Influences from artists such as Laurie Anderson, Laura Marling and Adrianne Lenker are also clearly audible. In the form of poetic love songs, she deals with questions of femininity, homosexuality and feminism, but also with ecological issues, for example.
In the ten years of her career, Laura Cahen has already played numerous tours in France as well as parts of Europe and America. Her last release "Des Filles" featured guest appearances by Juliette Armanet, Jeanne Added and Yael Naim, among others. Three songs from her second album "Une Fille" have been used in major TV shows and films, including "You" (Netflix), "Tales of the Walking Dead" (AMC) and the Oscar-nominated film "I Lost My Body"
