Laura Lee, also known as one half of the internationally acclaimed indie rock duo Gurr, is stepping into the spotlight again - this time as the frontwoman and chief songwriter of Laura Lee & the Jettes. The second album "Tough Love Paradigm" was released on September 5, 2020.

Laura Lee & the Jettes' second album is a bold development. This is where grungy indie pop meets riot grrrl attitude with alternative rock melancholy and great hooks. No band from Germany sounds cooler at the moment. The vividly detailed mix by Collin Dupuis (Lana Del Rey, Angel Olsen, St. Vincent, among others) and the British underground legend Rhys Edwards from Ulrika Spacek make sure of that.

In terms of content, Laura Lee & The Jettes open up new fields: "Unsolicited Advice" quotes unsolicited advice that Laura received from men as a mother, "Tough Love Paradigm" deals with borderline experiences of love, the new single "Ordinary People" wants to convey in hopeless times: "it keeps on getting better".
