LAUSCHEN UNTER LINDEN. Lesung und Konzert mit Masha Qrella, Monika Rinck und Jochen Schmidt

In the organizer's words:

Musician and singer Masha Qrella brings her guitar and plays an exclusive solo set. She sings her hit "I Talk to the Trees", of course, but also enchantingly idiosyncratic cover versions of The Cure, Lou Reed and other redwoods of music history.

Poet Monika Rinck serves up wondrous poems about what is blooming: poplars, algae, rhododendrons. "Now that the poplars are finally speaking for themselves, they are talking about blinking machines. A topic that is particularly interesting for poplars. Pretty stupid, yes, but also beautiful."

Writer Jochen Schmidt talks about phlox and triumphant vegetables, and with captivating humor makes his way through the thicket of memories: "Strange, without evolution, vanilla and apple would never have met on the tongue of a living being, yet they are made for each other."
