Cologne, 12.04.2024 - Lawrence are planning a great year 2024 with the new album Family Business and their biggest headline tour to date! And it's going so well in Germany that their concerts in both Munich and now Cologne have been moved to larger venues: in Cologne they will now be performing at the Live Music Hall on July 16, in Munich at the Technikum on July 23! Further concerts are planned in Kassel (17.07. Kulturzelt), Stuttgart (18.07. jazzopen / Altes Schloss), Hamburg (20.07., Mojo-Club), Berlin (21.07. Columbia Theater), Würzburg (24.07., Hafensommer) and finally Jena (25.07., Kulturarena). Tickets in advance!
Lawrence - the 8-piece band of siblings Gracie and Clyde Lawrence - are gearing up for a great 2024, releasing their fourth studio album "Family Business" later this year and celebrating with their biggest headlining tour to date this summer/fall. The 40-date international Family Business Tour will take them across the US and Europe, with dates including Radio City Music Hall on September 19 and The Wiltern in Los Angeles on October 9. In Cologne, Kassel, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich, Jesse Gold (USA) will open the concerts for Lawrence as special guest!
Family Business is the follow-up to 2021's Hotel TV, and the first new singles are already out (I'm confident that I'm innocent / 23 / The Guy I used to be), proving once again the band's incredible, funky soul power. Lawrence has captivated and built a huge audience of die-hard fans with his distinctive sound, rooted in classics like Stevie Wonder, Randy Newman and Aretha Franklin, with an energetic pop twist. Their clever and brilliantly crafted songs are driven by Clyde's keyboards, raspy voice, a loud horn section and Gracie's vocals soaring above.
