Slow Club Freiburg presents:
Le Skeleton Band + The Deadly Sons + Roxy Jules
Le Skeleton Band
are exceptional musicians from Montpellier who we have grown fond of and who fortunately keep returning.
They make music on the border between hypnotic folk noir, post-rock and punk with a penchant for strange, expressionistic, burlesque and cinematic moments.
Seeking the light at the bottom of the well, urgent fiery tones in which moments of contemplation are only brief interruptions before returning to the more furious beats and wild choruses that hover above the electric music.
The story of Le Skeleton Band goes back to the desire of three friends to form a rock band, whereupon Alex, Bruno and Clément learned to play an instrument and have continued to develop ever since.
They are now a four-piece, with violin, banjo, vibraphone, double bass, drums, melodica, guitar and polyphonies, and are devoting themselves more and more to polyphonic singing.
Great cinema for ears and eyes, which has already made several guest appearances in our favorite dark club and fits there like almost nowhere else.

The Deadly Sons
know how to take the listener on a journey through the different facets of life.
Both raw and refined:
The rebellious meets the reflective as their charismatic vocalist meets industrial guitar sounds and melodic bass lines are driven by dark, swaying drums.
A concert with The Deadly Sons is a powerful and almost ritualistic experience, where you let yourself be carried away by the hand-played instruments:
Tambourines and maracas ignite a light in the dark and distorted tones that herald both decay and hope.
Because even when the tempo is turned all the way down, there is still a sense of optimism when this rousing band takes to the stage.
On the new album "Slow Slow Tango", the four band members have once again challenged the boundaries of rock with their own expression.
The album has a melancholic and poetic expression, but also a coolness that will make even the most die-hard post-punkers want to bust out a few dance moves.
Producer Valentin Kruse was behind the controls at Viktoria Studio in Vesterbro, where the album was recorded.
It was released on April 14 on black vinyl and various streaming services.
Slow Slow Tango by no means strives for pop and platinum, but delves deep into the darker side of life, which can be both tempting and dangerous.

ROXY JULES
revolves around distorted guitars, electronic beats and mesmerizing vocals and lyrics.
It shows how beauty, longing, bloodthirsty noise rock, singer-songwriter elements and raw power can interact in the best possible way.
Her music is often described as a mixture of The Kills, PJ Harvey and Mazzy Star - but she definitely has her own sound too!
Since the release of her debut album in 2011, ROXY JULES has established herself as an experimental and uncompromising artist. She loves to create unpredictable tunes that constantly have to overcome the obstacles she deliberately puts in their way - forcing her to seek out new avenues that make the songs even more captivating.
Her perseverance recently earned her the award for "Solo Artist of the Year" at the Danish Alternative Music Awards 2025 - a well-deserved honor for her continued dedication to forging her own path in music.
