Concert and movie
Le Trash d'Amour, atmospherically multi-layered post-rock from Leipzig. The quartet moves along surprising paths between classical-inspired clarity and the raw aggression of punk. An excessive musical journey in which hope and apocalypse appear interwoven. On June 29, they will open the evening from 21:00. Trainspotting!
Following the concert, we will be showing "Trainspotting - New Heroes" at 10:00 pm
"Say yes to life ... but why should I do it?"
Mark is a junkie. His stomping ground is a dreary part of Edinburgh, and his gray everyday life revolves around the next fix from morning to night. Someday, he thinks, he'll get off, but with broken friends like Sick Boy, Spud and Begbie, it's out of the question. Whatever he tries, he fails miserably, until one day the chance of a lifetime presents itself - in the form of two kilos of his favorite powder of the finest quality ...
Director Danny Boyle made film history with "Trainspotting". A filmed drug trip based on the cult book of the same name by Irvine Welsh. Like the book, the film developed a cult life of its own, not least due to the harmonious soundtrack, a great mix of club music, punk rock, indie and Britpop. The pitch-black cult film won awards at festivals around the world and was celebrated by critics and audiences alike. It brought Ewan McGregor his international breakthrough and is one of the best English films of all time. Incidentally, the film's title refers to the quirky Scottish habit of writing down the numbers of passing train sets.
