Without him, Germany would have a lot less to laugh about: Thomas Hermanns has been one of Germany's best-known presenters and entertainers for over 25 years. His television appearances are characterized by entertaining entertainment and good humour.
He brought the Quatsch Comedy Club, which he founded 25 years ago, to the screens in 1996. The show is still the longest-running comedy format on German television (currently on Sky One) and has won the German Comedy Award, the Golden Camera and the Bavarian Television Award four times.
Away from the cameras, Thomas Hermanns is committed to gay and lesbian emancipation in society, for which he was awarded the Compass Pin of the Schwulen Netzwerk NRW e.V. in 2007.
As usual, Thomas Bille (journalist and presenter / mdr kultur) will host the event.
