In the solo set "Boomerang", the Berlin pianist finds his own style between modern jazz, sound art, groove and clear piano melodies. As on his debut album of the same name, he conveys a highly positive energy that evokes very different associations. The sound spectrum of the grand piano is deliberately expanded by the self-made felt pedal, creating completely new sounds. The audience is spontaneously taken on a journey, only to return and arrive together, like a boomerang.

In the quintet of the "Lennart Smidt Group", elements of the album are reinterpreted and new compositions by the pianist are heard. These feature in particular the interplay of the band, give space to all instruments and are based on groove, polyphony, joy of playing and spontaneity.
