About the book:
The pastor in Estherwieck is found dead in the mudflats. Drowned. Was it an accident? The day before, however, he had delivered an unusually indignant sermon, and the police are treating it as a crime. The police investigation takes a new turn when a former girlfriend, who had visited the pastor the day before, is reported missing, and Niklas John comes under suspicion. He had met the young woman on the evening of her disappearance. When her remains are found near an old naval chapel and Niklas is unable to clear himself of suspicion, he asks Fentje Jacobsen, a lawyer, for help. Can the two of them work together to find the real killer?
