Bilingual reading with actress Julia Maronde and sign language interpreter Birthe Seyfarth
"A worker said: 'The day after tomorrow we'll tear down the ruins! A few animals had heard that and they wanted to do something about it. They came up with a plan. They wanted to chase the people away with the leopard. But it didn't work because the leopard didn't want to." Freya Emilia, 9 years old
New works have been created in the Erfurt story workshop! It's time to bring the young authors' fantasy world to life - for the ears and eyes. Over a period of ten weeks, schoolchildren gave free rein to their imaginations. In an inspiring environment, they invented and wrote stories together and illustrated them with lino prints. These are stories that surprise with unconventional twists, make the audience smile and draw new worlds.
The Erfurt Story Workshop is now in its second year of enriching the city's cultural landscape. It offers a group of ten children the opportunity to develop their linguistic and artistic skills under the guidance of cultural educators. The project was initiated by Karolin Liebig and sponsored by the city of Erfurt. Selected stories and illustrations by the children will now be presented and read by the great Erfurt actress Julia Maronde. The reading will be translated by the expressive sign language interpreter Birthe Seyfarth.
The event is suitable for young and old from the age of 5. Children and schoolchildren receive a reduced admission price.
The story workshop reading is sponsored by BÄMM! and Aktion Mensch and takes place in cooperation with Kultur: Haus Dacheröden.
