Coincidentally, the Leipzig-based authors Katharina Bendixen, Bettina Wilpert and Janin Wölke have published new books at almost the same time, in which they address pregnancy, motherhood and care. Or is this no coincidence? Parenthood has increasingly become the focus of social debate in recent years and has finally made it from the private to the political sphere. Katharina Bendixen, Bettina Wilpert and Janin Wölke have approached the topic in very different literary ways - in the form of a novel, in a volume of experimental short forms and with a long poem. In "Die unendliche Form der Frau", they talk about why they chose their respective literary forms, why they write about parenthood in the first place and what a family-friendly society could look like.
