Lesung „Letzter August“ von Artur Krutsch

The City Library is touring the district and, in collaboration with RuDi, invites you to a reading. The guest is Artur Krutsch, who will read from his novel project “Letzter August.” The evening will be moderated by Maria Jansen.

About the book: Heat wave, drought, a rainless August in Berlin. Parks are withering, forests are burning, and drinking water is being rationed. Some cool off in air-conditioned offices, while others collapse in overheated attic apartments. In Artur Krutsch’s novel project “Letzter August,” August Zeiser, a Russian-German factory worker from Marienfelde, recounts this rainless August, during which his unremarkable life slowly begins to unravel. As the maelstrom of crises and catastrophes threatens to engulf him, he clings to an old family curse from the Volga German steppe and tries to make sense of the chaos and tell its story.
