About "Wir doch nicht":

Hamburg, in the future. 37-year-old Mathilda lives in a dictatorship. She secretly ends her unwanted pregnancy with a coat hanger - even though abortions in Germany are punishable by life imprisonment. The SfDD (Victory for Germany and the Germans) passed the law immediately after coming to power. This drastic step marks the beginning of Mathilda's inner rebellion against a regime that wants to degrade her into a childbearing machine. Mathilda does not reveal anything to her husband Finn and does not speak to anyone else in order to keep her crime a secret. But then her inner wounds become inflamed.

"Wir doch nicht" tells the story of Mathilda, describes everyday life in a dictatorship in which women are oppressed, and how a free democracy has become a totalitarian regime.
