As part of a special reading at Cafétreff Möca, Berlin author Inge Ruth Marcustells the extraordinary love and life stories of her family - between persecution, exile and the search for freedom.

Her biographical novels take us from Siberia to the Mongolian steppe and tropical rainforests. Between war and deprivation, but also moments of happiness, Marcus impressively shows how people found niches for self-determined lives even in the hardest of times.

She will read from her books Glut im Eis - vier Generationen zwischen fünf Diktaturen and Wasser unter Wüsten - ein Forscherleben zwischen den Weltkriegen (Anthea Verlag, Berlin) as well as from the e- and audiobook editions published by XPUB Verlag.
