Like islands in the light:

When her little sister disappears, Zoey is still a child herself. Now, twenty years later, her memories are fragmented and contradictory. Why was no one ever looking for her sister? After her mother's death, Zoey travels to the French Atlantic coast, where the three of them lived before that one night changed everything. Zoey suspects that she needs to reorganize her memories, which rise out of the sea like islands in the light and are connected deep below the surface.

Franziska Gänsler studied art and English in Berlin, Vienna and Augsburg. In 2020, she was a finalist in the 28th open mike. Her debut novel "Ewig Sommer" was published in 2022, translated into French, nominated for various prizes and awarded the Bavarian Art Promotion Prize for Literature and the City of Augsburg's Literature Promotion Prize in 2023. She lives in Augsburg and Berlin.
