There are many bands that emulate old heroes, but only a few manage to set their own accents, if they do justice to the musical guidelines of the legends at all. The British Letz Zep belong to this vanishingly small minority that combines originality with authenticity.

Led Zeppelin themselves take their hats off to their revenants and invite them to official fan events if Billy Kulke, Andy Gray and co. are not playing headline gigs somewhere in the world, be it in the sold-out Olympia in Paris or in the Heineken Arena Madrid, at festivals in Mexico or Venezuela. The group has long since become just as much of a global phenomenon as their role models. Their record company Warner calls Letz Zep the best band in the spirit of Page and Plant, media such as Rolling Stone, Classic Rock and the French Figaro devote multi-page features to them, and the BBC broadcasts recordings of their shows.

Letz Zep cover Led Zeppelin's entire catalog and are constantly expanding their repertoire with additional classics, so they don't limit themselves to the obvious hits. Their performance thus gives a comprehensive impression of the rock icons' oeuvre and delights the uninitiated as well as scene veterans. Letz Zep are not a nostalgia event, but a musical revolt against the ravages of time, a heart-rending outcry against oblivion, because they revive and carry on what the trailblazers in rock left dormant far too early.

Now Letz Zep are once again preparing to grace continental Europe with over two hours of concerts and ensure that familiar music is heard again with different ears.
