Düsseldorf, May 15, 2024 - The "Liebe das Leben pempelfort music weekend" returns and once again promises to be an unforgettable experience for all visitors. The festival is more than just an event - it's a feeling. It's more than a music festival, it's more than a street food festival, it's more than a festival for good drinks - because it represents everything. We bring people together to celebrate life and unforgettable moments in community.

Look forward to brilliant global and danceable sounds from RasgaRasga, Los Pipos and Moody Monks, to jazzy-soul grooving artists* such as Lorrèn and Chamier Collective feat. Büsra and to calm to upbeat pop from Lina Bó, Julika, Jule Blumt, Thunder Bae, Aeneas and Leonora.

The DJ collective SAFE invites you to chill out and dance together on the meadow right at the start of the festival site.
Our younger guests can look forward to the magical performances of Radini, the magician, and Hakan, the balloon artist.

Culinary highlights:

The festival offers a variety of culinary delights from selected partners: Brasserie Stadthaus, Reinhardt's Brasserie, Die Wagnerin, Milonga, Roadhouse Grill and BBQ, APIZZA, Crêperie Justine and Yomaro. We also want to delight you with delicious wine from cult winemaker Uli Metzger, spritz and gin drinks, cocktails with and without alcohol from Nic Shanker, delicious Kürzer Alt and Pilsener Urquell and non-alcoholic drinks from ClimAid.

FRIDAY

Thunder Bae
Thunder Bae is in the fast lane: millions of streams, a joint tour with Philip Poisel and a collaboration with Oscar-winning Hauschka are impressive proof of this. Now the young artist is about to release her debut album, which will offer an impressive mix of alternative and indie pop.

Lorrèn
Rooted in soul and jazz, Lorrèn is already a celebrated artist in her native Netherlands, touring extensively on the country's hottest stages. Her warm and raw voice, which inevitably reminds one of the soul greats of the 60s and 70s, and her sunny disposition make the songs shine. On "Liebe das Leben", the Amsterdam native plays an intimate solo set.

Moody Monks
The Moody Monks not only transcend musical genres, but also local patriotic boundaries between Cologne and Düsseldorf. The six musicians from the two Rhine metropolises play fresh, uninhibited and carefree. Their sets are interspersed with jazz, house and hip-hop rhythms, over which wind instruments and vocals enjoy freedom. Instead of being for the head, the music should be for the body first, then the head comes naturally. When everything dances, everything nods.

Aeneas
Aeneas is a young singer/songwriter from Hamburg who accompanies his dreamy vocals with an acoustic guitar. The songs - sometimes thoughtfully introverted, sometimes triumphantly embracing the world - arise from his emotions and especially his love, which he transmits to his audience with every melody and every chord.

Leonora
Leonora from Düsseldorf inspires with her warm and dark vocal color, her clever songwriting and music full of emotion. This results in lively, sometimes danceable pop songs, which she likes to enrich with soulful and funky elements.

Lina Bó
Lina Bó is a Cuban from Cologne and a Danish from Flensburg who met while studying music. Since then, they have been traveling the world together as passionate street musicians. Their musical talent did not go unnoticed by Sony Music, which signed them both. In their pop songs, the duo combines South American exoticism with German folk-pop. Sometimes melancholy, sometimes danceable, always full of joie de vivre and optimism.

Los Pipos
Los Pipos is a dynamic sextet with roots in Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Germany, Chile and the Netherlands that has created its own genre called "Latin Fusion". Their music is a lively mix of Latin American melodies and jazz, reinterpreted with a contemporary twist. Los Pipos' live performances are notorious - a dynamic spectacle of sound and movement, a pulsating celebration of life and music.

SUNDAY

Julika
Julika has been writing her own songs since the age of nine. With a clear, powerful voice, delicate piano playing and a keen sense of composition, she creates songs with hit potential. It is therefore not surprising that Julika has already received various awards at a young age for her enchanting mix of pop and alternative.

Jule Blumt
Jule Blumt is a young pop band from Düsseldorf led by singer and lyricist Jule Blum and pianist and producer Lukas Lohner. Anyone who likes to dance playfully over soundscapes and lose themselves in the depths of fabulous lyrics is in good hands here. But beware: you can always expect to have the floor pulled out from under your feet with sudden beats or purred anger.

Chamier Collective feat. Büsra
The Chamier Collective feat. Büsra consists of five young jazz musicians from NRW. The group presents its "Personal Sounds" program created especially for "Liebe das Leben". The multi-layered compositions and arrangements merge into a rousing jazz mix inspired by neo-soul, funk and hip-hop.

RasgaRasga
RasgaRasga are pure energy. Six musical border crossers, twelve instruments, four languages and a firework of emotions - like a rapids, the band carries its audience to a colorful, glittering place. A place of letting go, of togetherness and of the moment. RasgaRasga celebrate their own style of popular music with always exciting new genre fusions and transcultural influences.

DJ collective SAFE

SAFE is a collective from the Düsseldorf area that is committed to the region's electronic music culture. Although electronic music has a long, globally recognized tradition in Düsseldorf, the scene is currently in a bad way. More and more clubs are closing, leaving many DJs searching in vain for opportunities to perform. SAFE offers artists a physical space that they can use as a digital stage: From a secret former bank vault, the collective publishes weekly DJ sets on its YouTube channel, giving DJs from the region the opportunity to present themselves to the world.

VONEHREN
VONEHREN from Krefeld is an important figure in the regional house and hard groove scene. Known for his minimalist sound aesthetics and rhythmic density, he creates haunting sets that make him a popular guest in clubs across NRW.

Patrick Marinescu
Patrick Marinescu started collecting records over 20 years ago. Shortly afterwards, he invested in turntables and started his DJ career in Belgium. After returning to his native Düsseldorf, he quickly made a name for himself as a DJ and founder of his own electronic music label.

skathi
skathi brings the dance floor to the boil with her rousing sets. The DJ combines driving house and grooving vocals with a pinch of UK garage and disco to create her very own sound.

Twyn
twyn is a DJ and dedicated vinyl fan from Düsseldorf who found his way into electronic music in 2008. Artistically influenced by house records from the 90s, he has developed his own individual minimal techno style. Bookings at illustrious venues such as Orange Club, Royal Bambi Dortmund, Salon des Amateurs and Kantine am Berghain are just some of his references.

Roxtone
roxtone is an internationally booked DJ who lives in Düsseldorf. His vinyl-based minimal techno and house sets tell exciting musical stories that resonate for a long time. Over the past two decades, he has not only left a lasting mark on the regional music scene, but has also played at clubs as special as Number 90 in London and the Tes Club in Tbilisi.

Mauzmon
mauzmon's sound moves between spherical and pulsating - always danceable and full of the courage to make daring leaps between genres. The DJ from Wuppertal explores the entire spectrum between house and techno and is always open to global influences such as rumba, Brazilian pop and Arabic sounds.

David Dröge
David Dröge entered the local electronic music scene at the age of 15 and is still passionately involved in shaping it today. He organizes parties, founded the Avontuur collective and is a resident of Beweggrund. David Dröge draws on his lovingly compiled vinyl collection, which he combines with digital technologies, in his dynamic house DJ sets.

Yurika
Yurika grew up in Cologne's lively club scene and is now a member of the BrotlosArt collective, which has been enriching Krefeld's nightlife since 2018. The DJ stands for pulsating techno, which she refines with elements of industrial and groovy sounds. Her impressive stage presence captivates the audience and takes them on an emotional musical trip.
