Liegenddemo - Awareness für ME/CFS

#LiegendDemo - ME/CFS awareness rally

On the occasion of the international ME/CFS Awareness Days, a so-called "LyingDemo" will take place in Stuttgart with an information stand and speeches. This will draw attention to the dramatic situation of people with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS).

ME/CFS is a severe, chronic, usually life-changing disease in which those affected have to live without adequate care, effective treatment options or sufficient support. Many of those affected can no longer leave their homes or even their beds.

We make visible what otherwise remains invisible: The silent plight of the sufferers. In order to make the invisibility of ME/CFS sufferers visible, participants will lie down on the floor during the campaign on behalf of all sufferers. There will also be speeches, an information stand and other activities.

There will be calls for more information, (better) medical care and binding and effective research.
