L'Impératrice come to Berlin for "Double Trouble"
If you want to describe the French sound tinkerers around pianist Charles de Boisseguin and singer Flore Benguigui, you quickly end up with big words like elegance, style, French chic or grandezza. L'Impératrice manage to evoke these associations with ease. Since the release of the album "Tako Tsubo" (2021), things have been
things have been on the move for the Parisian group. L'Impératrice have retained their penchant for dance, a groove based on a virtuoso bass, vintage synths and shimmering melodies.
Although L'Impératrice enriched numerous festival line-ups throughout the year - for example for a home show at Rock en Seine - they have also recorded new music. The gently grooving single "Heartquake", which was created in collaboration with singer-songwriter Cuco, is already available to listen to. But L'Impératrice will also finally be releasing a new album next year. They will be presenting it in a few selected cities around the world: In March, the band will be gracing Hole44 in Berlin and delighting their fans with exclusive residency plays - performances in which art and music will naturally merge.
