Choreographer and dancer Linda Hayford is co-director of CCN Rennes, associate artist of CND Paris and one of the most influential voices in the popping dance style. Hayford's movement practice combines different dance styles to create her distinctive, haunting and metamorphic style "Shifting Pop", which unfolds a unique form of physical language through isolated movements, precise body alignment and organic awareness. With ABÎMES, her latest work, she creates a mystical, living community: bodies in a state of constant transformation, beings on the threshold between reality and the fantastic. Based on the aesthetics of shifting pop, the choreography explores metamorphosis as a narrative force and an impulse for connection. Together with six outstanding dancers, an organic, pulsating connection is created - an echo of the present and a glimpse of what is possible beyond it.
