A concert with the Danish duo Linebug, consisting of songwriter Line Bøgh and digital artist Christian Gundtoft, is definitely something very special! In this loving live show, Christian uses artfully arranged animations of his drawings to visualize Line's dreamy indie pop into a poetic visual performance. The artist duo moved from Copenhagen to Zeitz in southern Saxony-Anhalt in 2021, partly because they found a real liveliness in the East German province between abandoned architecture and still existing originality, which provides them with an artistic reservoir of inspiration. With their recently released album and their videos for "Portraits of Invisible Places", they channeled this intention into a truly unique art project. They created 10 small, delicate kaleidoscopes of poetic reflections of newly discovered East German places between Skylines in Zeitz, Rainbows in Hoyerswerda, Dances in Eisenhüttenstadt and Last Hearts in Deuben. The encounters with and in these places are transformed into a perfectly arranged, creative interplay: Line transforms the sound carpet of her pop songs, spread out by melody, harmony and sound feeling, with her warm voice into a tone-painting wonder box of stories, which is filled with a tangible interest in these places. The fascinating imagery of her lyrics corresponds with Christian's imaginative video and drawing art to create touching pop art with grandiose storytelling.
