Lion's Jamboree w/Bardance Gang
In the organizer's words:
August has a special event in store for fans of bluegrass, country, and western music. The KufA Haus is opening its doors for the LION’S JAMBOREE—a jam session followed by a concert.
We’re pleased to welcome the BARDANCE GANG as special guests. The band is dedicated to traditional country and western music from the 1930s through the 1960s and performs hillbilly, western swing, and old-time music.
They aim to present this wonderful music to the audience in the most authentic way possible—just as country and western was played back then in many families after work and on weekends.
They captivate the audience with their thrilling music, their enthusiasm, their authentic stage outfits, and—for the most part—instruments from that era. All of this lends the concert a very special atmosphere.
Their repertoire includes songs that were brought to America by European immigrants in the 19th century or written there. You’ll hear gospel songs, waltzes, and polkas, as well as romantic ballads that were once sung around the campfire.
We’ll kick things off at 6:00 p.m. with a bluegrass & old-time session in the KufA Haus hall, and at 8:00 p.m., the concert by BARDANCE GANG will follow seamlessly right there.
