Literary summer festival in the Old Botanical Garden
At the Literaturhaus, Francesca Bravi talks to Arne Rautenberg about his time in Rome as a scholarship holder at the Villa Massimo and the poems he wrote during this time. Rome texts by famous Italian writers will also be read by Jule Nero.
Sicilian sounds from the Martino Ensemble with guitar, lute, cello and mandolin can be heard in the front garden.
Italian classics can also be rediscovered in the Old Botanical Garden, recited by students from Kiel University's Romance Studies Department.
In addition, the photo exhibition "Italian authors and their desks" at the Literaturhaus - with portraits of Carmen Pellegrino, Fernanda Pivano, Susanna Tamaro, Nadia Terranova and others - shows writers at their various writing places: at home, in cafés or even on the train. With photographs by Luca Nizzoli Toetti and Ale Di Blasio.
