Frauke Angel - A room to myself - children's book reading for primary school children
Nine-year-old Elli has just one wish: a room to herself. But that's not so easy with two brothers and a single mother in a prefabricated housing estate. But luckily Elli has her best friend Nursemin, a budding poet with an unerring feel for language and other important things in life, at her side, who has a very similar wish. And then a giant dog and a rusty nail come to the girls' rescue. The adventure begins.
Frauke Angel was born in 1974 in the Ruhr area. She is a trained actress and worked for 20 years on German stages, as well as cleaning lady, saleswoman, grave digger, welder, barmaid, air guitarist and ghostwriter. She has been a freelance author since 2012. She writes mainly for children and young people.
