Tango Transit "Akrobat"

Tango Transit are Martin Wagner (accordion), Hanns Höhn (bass) and Andreas Neubauer (drums). Since 2008, the trio from the Frankfurt area has performed over 700 concerts in Germany and abroad and released six CDs and a live DVD. The way they fuse the energy and expressiveness of classical tango with a modern sound is second to none: Elements from Louisiana's Cajun music mix with the rawness of the Balkans, French musette meets oriental sounds.
French musette meets oriental sounds; sometimes even house bass drum or wah-wah and distortion on the accordion are added, as can be heard on the album "Akrobat" (JAZZNARTS). In addition to compositions by the band, this album also contains three arrangements for the first time (Roger Waters' "Brain Damage", Astor Piazzolla's "Libertango" and F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy's "Elfentanz") and is the result of an intensive collaboration between three extraordinary instrumentalists. The music of Tango Transit is powerful, delicate, melancholic and sweaty and extremely impressive live.
