Radical friendliness please! Daniel Schreiber, born in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in 1977, is one of the most important contemporary German-language essayists. His most recent books "Allein" (2021) and "Die Zeit der Verluste" (2023) were also on the SPIEGEL bestseller list and were enthusiastically received. With his latest book "Liebe! Ein Aufruf", he addresses the question of how love can act as a political force - and also traces his own reading of Hannah Arendt, Erich Fromm and Marica Bodrožic. Daniel Schreiber is a great reader - as evidenced not only by the long reading lists in his books, which are of course ideal for putting together a literature quiz!
