Localize invites you on an excursion: the expressionist regatta house and the music pavilion on the shores of Lake Templin become a weekend destination. Artistic positions open up the vacant site, question its eventful history and approach the theme of "excursion".
Sunday excursions and local recreation, strolling around the world and strolling for pleasure: Excursions promise adventure, are escapes from the constraints of wage labour and small romantic escapes from the global crisis mode, but also harbour questions about privilege, commercialization and power. The Regattahaus symbolizes this ambivalence - it is a place of pleasure and recreation, but also the scene of military and ideological appropriation and the idea of performance in sport.
