#Logoskop vierundvierzig. Dichtung und Wissenschaft mit Mona Harry und Wolf Hogekamp
In the organizer's words:
If science is queen in the Humboldt Lab, then the #Logoscope is her court jester. Every month since 2021, artistic freedom has taken to the exhibition space at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin to use literature to shake up the view of science. Equipped with a microphone and amplification system, two slam poets wander through the exhibition and recite texts.
This time they will be joined by slam poets Mona Harry and Wolf Hogekamp. Together they will comment on the exhibition "On Water" with live texts. Visitors are invited to accompany them on their eloquent tour.
Curated by Bas Böttcher
Mona Harry lives in Kiel and has been active on poetry slam stages throughout the German-speaking world since the end of 2011. Videos of her text Liebesgedicht an den Norden went viral on YouTube and attracted a lot of attention. In 2015, she reached the final of the German-language poetry slam championships. In 2020, she was awarded the Schleswig-Holstein Art Prize. In 2021, she won the Schleswig-Holstein Poetry Slam Championships.
Her collection of texts Fliegen ist doch eigentlich ganz leicht, her cycling guide Ins Blaue and her children's books Die Dinge & wir, Mutproben and Lexikon der ganz sicher nicht ausgedachten Tierarten were published by KJM Buchverlag. She is also represented in numerous anthologies. As a regular author at the Kieler Lesebühne Irgendwas mit Möwen, she can be seen on the first Thursday of every month at the Kieler Kulturforum. Her melodious, rhythmic texts are vivid and often written with a touch of humor and a wink.
Wolf Hogekamp is the founding father of the German-language poetry slam. His texts are in the tradition of the brilliant dilettantes. The Berlin original is co-editor of the "Poetry-Slam-Fibel" (Satyr Verlag), the standard work for German-language poetry slam. He published the poetry book "Es regnet Ponys" (Lektora Verlag) and the first DVD for Poetry Clips, the first collection of poetry slam texts in video format.
The graduate filmmaker is the organizer of Germany's oldest series of poetry slam events. He is the founder and inventor of the German Poetry Slam Championships and performs at festivals as a musician and songwriter under the name Schneekönig.
