It's just a kiss. A kiss made of debris. Sounds, noise, voices. In wavy dark punk fog with manic brushstrokes, he knocks quietly and coldly on dark rooms. Rooms of then and tomorrow. He stays! With a wooden step and paints, rigid and cool, big crooked faces. So that the voices may find a heart.

Musically, LORNING embarks on a journey ...

A journey back in time to the 80s and early 90s. The time itself plays less of a role. Rather, LORNING takes up the beginnings of alternative music with dark roots.

NDW influences meet those of electro-punk, mix with a dark dark-wave sound and even darker post-punk, which here and there falls brutally into an EBM - industrial sound pattern and thus goes beyond the scope of feasibility to assign the project to a specific genre.

LORNING is LORNING ... LORNING is gloomy, dark and tackles the themes of existence honestly and sometimes mercilessly.

It is obvious that the graduate in German studies has the balance between music and lyrics in mind.

The album "Other Void/ Other Rooms" combines themes such as inner turmoil, personal isolation and depression, being lost in a seemingly cold world and the resignation associated with this, but also deals with dreams and tells of hope.

Deeply impressed by Wolfgang Borchert's work, excerpts from texts and books by the German writer are repeatedly included.
