We are delighted to be organizing the next One-Day Choir in Lübeck.

WHAT IS A ONE-DAY CHOIR?

A One-Day Choir is an opportunity to be part of a choir for a single day - celebrating singing and the unifying power of harmony. It is an opportunity to build community, make new friends and unite our diverse voices into a common sound.

All are welcome. no previous experience. no concert. no perfection.

Just sing together in a room with people in harmony and create something greater!

Whether you have been singing in vocal ensembles for many years or are singing in a group for the first time, you are welcome here. All levels of experience are valuable and will be considered.

OUR SONG THIS TIME

This time we will immerse ourselves in the festive and glittering winter world of the Christmas classic "Let It Snow", made famous by Dean Martin's charming interpretation. This upbeat song immediately conjures up images of shining lights, dancing snowflakes and warm moments shared with loved ones. Together we create a harmonious choral sound that spreads joy and is guaranteed to put a smile on everyone's face. Every voice contributes to making this cheerful evergreen blossom in a unique, polyphonic version.

Our director Sarah Sieprath has prepared an easy-to-learn but effective arrangement - perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit and experiencing a musical highlight with others.❄️✨

REHEARSE THE SONG

Sheet music and vocal recordings for the individual parts are available as learning material before the event. If you have the time and inclination, please take a look and listen to the parts and the original so that we can work musically on the day. It's not at all necessary to know everything by heart (and you definitely don't have to memorize the song!), but the more confident we are with our parts, the more fun we can have together!

This session will be led by our choir directors Sarah Sieprath !

Sarah Sieprath (she/her) is a singer, choir director, singer-songwriter and music teacher. She completed her Master's degree in "Music Education" at the Lübeck University of Music and has been working as a freelance singer and choir director ever since. She has been performing regularly with her vocal band Vox Mandala since 2018 and has already appeared on stage with the renowned King's Singers, among others. In her artistic and educational work, she focuses on the fun of making music together. Sarah knows how to use creative ideas and an open approach to music and people to create inspiring spaces for singing together, expression and connection. She is very much looking forward to leading various One-Day Choir events in the fall to create a musical community.

CANCELATION & TICKETS
We want as many people as possible to have the chance to be there - places are limited and everyone counts.

Important: Tickets cannot be canceled, refunded or rebooked. They are also non-transferable. We need the proceeds to rent the room and pay our wonderful leaders.

If you can't come after all, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance - then we can pass your place on to the waiting list. A refund is unfortunately not possible.

The One-Day Choir Collective is a creative community of singing people across Germany. Our mission is to create connecting, playful and accessible spaces for making music together - spaces for expression, growth, freedom and letting go through music. Spaces where we explore the healing potential of collective music and improvisation. Spaces where people can express themselves freely - without judgment or expectation - and where we can meet other people as our authentic selves and make new friends.

Everyone is welcome in this community.

We celebrate people of all ages, backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, religions, physical abilities, social backgrounds, languages and musical levels. All we ask of you is an open mind, a desire to connect - and a willingness to leave any kind of (self-)judgment at the door.

We believe that making music - together with others - is a fundamental human practice. This project creates space for exactly that - especially at a time when such opportunities have become rare.

The One-Day Choir Collective aims to break down the separation between audience and artists and create experiences where we are all part of the musical process. We want to provide a network and platform for people to rediscover themselves musically, connect with each other and unleash their creativity through play and collaboration.
