Luca Sestak is a phenomenon - the pianist and composer may still be young, but he can already look back on a remarkable career: at the age of eleven, he published his first videos of his piano playing on the internet, which made him a young prodigy of the piano scene - today, he has developed a mature artistic personality that has long since left this image behind - already in his mid-20s, his music has taken him around the world and earned him numerous awards.
With his new album "Lighter Notes", Luca skillfully shows how Chopin can be made funky or Bach played in a jazz club, giving the piano a sound that you would never have thought possible - sometimes even by preparing the instrument with adhesive tape or felt for his own compositions.
Luca and his trio know how to captivate their audience: with youthful enthusiasm and a lot of charm, they move between jazz, classical, pop, blues and funk and combine the genres humorously without taking themselves too seriously.
On a journey from fiery virtuosity, which often pushes the piano mechanics to their limits, to soulful minimalism, where every chord gets under your skin, goosebumps are guaranteed.
